Socratic Ethics in the Anglo-Saxon Academy

This article aims to be an introduction to discussions related to Socratic ethics (the ethics of Plato's first dialogues) at the Anglo-Saxon Academy. Therefore, after a brief introduction discussing the developmentalism of this Academy, the views of five influential authors are analyzed: Gregory Vlastos, Gerasimos Santas, Terry Penner, Thomas Brickhouse and Nicholas Smith. In this way, it will be possible for the reader to understand the debates on the topic as well as to acquire a good starting point for Socratic Studies.
